A LIFETIME OF ART AND CREATIVE

From being a child artist until now, art and creative expression has always been how I’ve been wired and how I see the world.  With a new creative reset comes a mind shift with a deep exploration of abstract painting and drawing and a fresh excitement and enjoyment of unexplored visual discoveries and challenges.  In channeling into my lifetime of diverse and varied experiences, I draw from a plethora of knowledge and skills in sculpture, drawing, drafting, industrial design, woodworking , carpentry, exhibit design, film making, and much much more.  A formal art education from The Ohio State University , The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Columbia College Chicago, and the Cleveland Institute of Art has honed many skills and disciplines needed as an artist.  A career path in trade show, exhibits, and live events spanning over 35 years brought the experiences of industrial & architectural design, engineering, brand marketing, and sales with the founding of a creative dimensional marketing agency.  Being never satisfied in just a single direction of interest or inspiration has resulted in many times fearlessly venturing into the unknown.  And even with all of that, art has always  been there.  As a  sculptor originally,  this shift of my creative perspective has me now focused on paintings, drawings, and mixed media. The work shown here originates from inspirational sightings of often obscure and acute views of elements from both man and nature.  These interpretations always strive to achieve 'the glimpse'......'the capture'...... but mostly that elusive element of ‘connection’ with the viewer.
